My Favorite Products: Treat Yourself Edition

Gifts Holiday Low Waste Skin Care Zero Waste

This time of year can be amazing and full of love. It can also be tough and lonely. Whichever category you currently fit into (it can be both), here are a few products that I use to show myself a little love.

Lip Balm

Lip Balm

I talk about this lip balm a lot. I just love it so much. Small-batch skincare made by a woman-owned business in California that gives back to save baby sea turtles. Not to mention how amazing your lips feel after putting this on. They come in a compostable container with 40% more product per tube than traditional lip balms. Choose from 6 different flavor options. My favorite is the mint.

Body Butter

Body Butter

This stuff is magic. Trust me. Goes on like butter, soaks into your skin, has a light scent, and is made with love and care from a small, women-owned business in Minnesota. Choose from lavender or eucalyptus scents.

Candles

Candle

I am not a fan of winter. Light one of these and drift into the land of summer. All of these candles are beach-themed, so grab one and daydream about a warm, tropical island vacation. Take me away, sailor.

Konjac Sponges

Konjac Sponge

These are amazing for your skin. Soak them in water and let them get soft and then use them to gently wash your face. Each color is infused with a different element and each color gives back to a good cause. I love a win, win situation. Grab a soothing aloe konjac sponge for yourself and know that 5% of the purchase is going back to mental health services at NAMI.

Face Masks

Face Masks

I do not use products like this often, so this one is something I save for a "treat myself" night. The good news is since this product is just powder, it is shelf-stable for a long time. Mix the powder with water (or another solvent of your choice) and gently rub it on your face. This mask leaves skin feeling soft and hydrated.

Bonus: Add some Yay for Earth Face Lotion after you wash the face mask off to lock in that moisture.

Wine Glasses

Wine Glasses

I don't drink alcohol, which for me is the truest form of self-care. However, I love putting kombucha into this glass and hanging out by the fire with friends or in the bathtub with a book. The lid keeps bugs out and keeps me from spilling it everywhere. Plus, the silicone sleeve on the outside gives it a non-slip grip that feels great in your hand.
